Some New Jersey tots got an adult education yesterday when a cable TV giant replaced a Disney cartoon with hardcore pornography. The "Handy Manny" cartoon on Playhouse Disney was abruptly interrupted yesterday morning when Comcast honchos mistakenly aired the porno in sections of Jersey. "What are they doing?" a 5-year-old boy asked his parents when an explicit sexual scene showed up on his TV screen. The boy's father, Paul Dunleavy, was appalled. "It was two people doing their thing, it was full-on and it was disgusting," said Dunleavy, who asked that his son not be named. "It wasn't something you'd expect to see on Cinemax, never mind Disney."

３日付けの米紙「ニューヨーク・デーリー・ニュース」（電子版）によると、ニュージャージー州の一部地域では２日早朝、ケーブルテレビ会社コムキャスト経由で視聴しているディズニーの漫画「ハンディー・マニー」が突然中断となり、ポルノが流れるという事故があった。 「５歳になる子供が『あの人たち何をしているの』と聞くから、テレビ画面を見てみると、大人の男と女がすることをまさにやっていた。全面ご開帳だぜ。嫌になったよ」とは、偶然子供とともに強制的にナニを鑑賞させられた父親の言。
Comcast spokesman Fred DeAndrea confirmed the programming error took place, saying the mistake was made by his company, not Disney.
コムキャスト側は、同社の番組プログラム上の手違いによるものとして顧客に対して謝罪。ディズニー側に何の落ち度もないことを認めたという。記事のタイトル "Cable porn gaffe: The full Mickey!"は、「ケーブルテレビ、謝ってポルノ：全く！！」ぐらいの意味合いか？
このポルノ事件、ローカルネタに終わることなくＡＰ通信も報道。
Comcast spokesman Fred DeAndrea confirmed that the programming error occurred around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. He declined to provide the duration of the porn broadcast but described it as an "isolated issue in a local New Jersey facility." A Disney Channel spokeswoman said the company has asked Comcast for assurances that appropriate measures were taken to prevent such situations in the future.
とんだとばっちりを受けたディズニー側は、コムキャスト側に対して、今後この種の事故が再発しないよう適切な措置を取るよう要請したそうな。
