New security estimates indicate Monday's suicide bombing may have originated in West Bank, not Gaza, despite earlier reports to the contrary. PA officials say terrorists' identity hasn't been ascertained yet
An initial investigation by the IDF and the Shin Bet Monday revealed the possibility that the terrorists involved in the suicide bombing in Dimona this morning came from the West Bank, and not from Gaza as was reported earlier.
Reuters reported Monday evening that Hamas' armed wing claimed responsibility for the attack, and that a source in the organization said that the two Palestinians who died during the attack came from the West Bank city of Hebron, rather than from Gaza.
Hamas officials denied the reports.

イスラエル国防軍とシンベト（国内治安情報機関）によると、これらの自爆テロ犯は、イスラム原理主義組織ハマスが掌握するガザから侵入したものではなく、イスラエルと和平協議を続行中のアッバス・パレスチナ自治政府議長率いる主流派ファタハが握るヨルダン川西岸か忍び込んだ。
これを裏付けるかのように、ファタハ系の「アルアクサ殉教者旅団」など３武装組織が同日それぞれ犯行声明を出した。
医療関係者らによると、１人目の自爆犯は爆発で死に、もう１人は爆発直後に警官に射殺された。現場からは不発だった爆発物を仕込んだベルトも発見された。
イスラエル領内で自爆攻撃があったのは２００７年１月以降初めて。０７年１１月には米国で行われた中東和平国際会議でイスラエル、パレスチナ和平交渉が再開されている。
イスラエル当局は、エジプトのシナイ半島経由で全長２５０キロのイスラエル・エジプト国境から、パレスチナ武装勢力が侵入した可能性があると強調。
